Tom is the founder of Mitros Insurance, established in 2007 to provide businesses and families with clear, customized insurance solutions.

Tom has been helping businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and operate with confidence.   He works closely with business owners and executives to design tailored insurance and risk management programs aligned with their operational and financial goals.  With deep roots in the community, Tom brings local insight and industry expertise to every client relationship.

Tom also helps families protect what matters most—their financial security.  By providing customized personal insurance solutions, that protect their Homes, Vehicles, and Liability exposures.

Tom holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations, earned through the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, reflecting advanced training and knowledge in the insurance industry and risk management strategy. Tom received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Tom is a lifelong resident of the community.  He lives in Newtown Square with his wife Jenna and three children.  Tom is a former President of the Media Rugby Football club, he served as the Treasurer of the Marple Newtown HS Football Alumni Assoc., and he also coaches and sponsors many of our youth sports organizations and High School athletic programs.

Ed Corliss is a Partner at Mitros Insurance, where he oversees commercial risk management, personal insurance portfolios, and firm operations. Since joining the agency in 2009 and becoming a Partner in 2013, Ed has been a driving force behind the firm’s commitment to providing high-level, consultative insurance solutions.

He provides tailored coverage for Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, and Life insurance, ensuring that his clients’ families and personal legacies are shielded from the unexpected.
• Strategic Operations: As a Partner, Ed manages the firm’s internal growth and client-service standards, ensuring that every policyholder receives the same level of integrity and technical precision.

Professional Background

Ed’s career is built on a foundation of business administration and marketing, having earned his degree from Misericordia University in 2004. Before entering the insurance industry, he served as an Account Executive for several years in the private sector. This background gave him a firsthand understanding of the operational risks and financial pressures facing modern business owners—knowledge he now utilizes to protect his clients’ professional and personal interests.

Community & Personal Life

A lifelong resident of Delaware County, Ed lives in Glen Mills with his wife, Karen, and their three children. He remains deeply connected to the region through active community involvement and support for numerous local charities.

Maria has been in the insurance industry since 1997. Initially she worked for her brothers in their insurance agency. In 2007, she was excited and proud to help her son Tom establish Mitros Insurance.

Customer Service is her main role in the agency. In her position, she helps clients understand their policies, answers billing questions, and provides information on claims. She enjoys getting to know her customers on a more personal level which helps build long lasting relationships.

Maria graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Marketing. She currently resides in Broomall with her husband and enjoys spending time with their Six grandchildren.

Lisanne Corvaia joined Mitros Insurance in 2021 and services both personal and commercial accounts. Liz brings over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry to the agency. Liz began her insurance career in 2004 and enjoys conversing with clients and assisting them with their insurance needs.

Liz resides in Paoli and has served as a Board Member in the community. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and traveling.

Josh joined Mitros Insurance in 2023 after spending 5 years with State Farm. Josh focuses on sales and growing the book of business while also providing excellent customer service to his clients.

Josh graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a degree in Economics and then immediately began his career in Insurance.

Josh resides in West Chester with his fiancée and their dog. He enjoys spending time at the beach and watching Philly sports. In his free time, Josh enjoys helping to coach the Harriton baseball team.

Jay was born and raised in Philadelphia and currently reside in Norristown. Jay has a degree in Marketing, and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. He has been in the insurance industry since 1998 and holds four professional designations. Jay volunteers at Norriton Little League where his son plays baseball, and is on the board for Jeffersonville Soccer Club as the Risk Management Officer. When Jay is not at work or at the baseball field, you can find him at the bowling alley. Jay has been bowling at Our Town Alley, formerly known as Facenda/Whitaker Lanes, since 2000.

Frank has worked in the insurance industry since 2014, both on the carrier and agency side.  Frank strives to give each client high quality customer service with an easy understanding of insurance coverage.

Frank resides in Springfield with his wife, son & dog.  He enjoys traveling, watching movies, and going to sporting events. His favorite sport teams are the Union, Eagles, Phillies & Flyers.
